Uploading contracts

Bring your contract documents into Forest so renewals and spend live alongside the tools they pay for.

Last updated June 1, 2026

Adding your contracts to Forest puts the paperwork behind your security program in the same place as the tools and capabilities it supports. Once a contract is in the system, you can track its renewal, record its spend, and connect it to the vendors and tools it covers.

What to add

Upload the documents that govern your security spend: master agreements, order forms, renewals, and amendments. A contract record holds the document itself plus the details that make it useful later, such as the vendor, the term dates, and the contract value.

You do not need every historical document on day one. Start with the contracts tied to your most significant tools and the renewals coming up soonest. You can fill in the rest over time.

What happens after upload

Forest stores each document securely and keeps it tied to the record you created. From there you can:

Contracts support spend and renewal tracking. They do not change your Forest Score on their own. Scoring is driven by capabilities and CAMP priority, so a contract record informs your decisions without skewing your maturity numbers.

Keeping contract data current means the spend and overlap insights you rely on later reflect reality, not last year's assumptions.
